PRISON MINISTRY
“I was in prison, and you visited me.” Matthew 25:36
We support the International and Ecumenical Kairos Prison Ministry International (KPMI) in the Mens Zephyrhills Correctional Institute. The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities. 4-day weekends are held in April and October, and volunteers are needed to be at the prison to show the Love of Jesus. We also need prayers and cookies!
We partner with Jail Ministry programs such as Fresh Start and Veteran’s Court.
kenya school
Our Kenya mission started in 2019 assisting Methodist Church of Kenya (MCK) to build a boarding school for children with disabilities. The school opened in March 2024 with 8 students aged from 6 to 16 years, 2 classrooms, a teachers breakroom and offices, a kitchen and small store, a large dormitory building separated into a dorm for boys and
for girls with a caretakers room at each end. They opened with 4 staff, a teacher, a
caretaker, a cook and a watchman. By 2025 they had 16 students enrolled who are all benefiting from the good care and hands on teaching.
We give thanks to God that we have been able to continue to support the school with funding to cover food for the childrens/staff meals, school supplies, farming needs (they grow maize and bean crops which they harvest and use for staple diet), In 2025 a new dormitory was built to house another 20 students for enrollment in 2026.
We are now requesting funds to assist in building more teachers accommodations so that the school can receive a Head Teacher from the Government and continue the upkeep of the school as most of the children’s families cannot afford school fees.
Thank you for considering a donation to help us as a church continue to assist these beautiful children and give them the care they so desperately need!
